HTC One X... The ONE you've been waiting for.
Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Sold my SGS II for this new beauty...

It's the latest HTC One X launched on 2nd April 2012 with the following specifications:
(Special thanks to GSMArena)

With the voucher from the HTC event and after recontracting our mobile lines, my boyfriend and I gotten ourselves the phones at around $650 each (with a free media link box for sharing and displaying what's on the phone to the Smart TV)

Ordered through Singtel online store and supposed to get our phones the next working day. But due to some disputes and inconsistency on their website and service, we only managed to receive our phones a week later...

A White & A Black!

I've gotten myself the very first white phone ever in my life and as usual a black one for my boyfriend. HTC claims that since the back of the phones is made of polycarbonate body, dirt and dusts on the body can be easily wipe off with a cloth. So i've gotten a white one this time. :)

My white phone. The ONE you've been waiting for....

This phone is simply awesome and i loves its polycarbonate feel and stain-free characteristics!

Here are some of the videos that show the durability of the phone!

Going to enjoy my phone for now.. :)

SG Rooms For Rent
Saturday, April 07, 2012

Do you have a room to rent out? Do you need to rent a room for a short stay in Singapore due to business trip?

If yes is your answer, besides printing and having hardcopies pasted on the walls/void decks around the neighbourhood as it has been done always, what other methods or ways have you reached out to this problem?

Here's a website which I am going to review on and introduce to you on renting or putting your room up for rent! Don't worry if you are staying in condominium and thinking of putting rooms for rent, this website simply allows postings of rents for all kinds of rooms!

Rooms for rent is a website which allows one to find a room to rent in all over different areas in Singapore easily. Just a few clicks away, you would be lead through different pages of the website in search for your favourite room and a location that is convenient for you. The user interface of this website is easily understandable to almost anyone even to users who first come across it. The descriptions to each and every navigation link is very direct and easy to understand as well.

If you are looking to rent a room, select the desired location/area (e.g. Jurong) to stay from the HOME page and you would get to see a whole long list of rooms/homestay around the selected area up for rent! To further advance your search for rooms in that area, you could also filter what kind of rooms you are looking for and indicate if you are staying with your partner/spouse or alone. User could also filter to search for rooms that only takes in either female or male, etc.

Each room listed in the website besides indicating the exact location such as block number and street number, it also clearly indicates the price of renting the room, conditions, deposits required, availablity dates, maps and what are the facilities in the house can be used if one were to rent the particular room. Well, maybe not all home owners have indicated on the facilities part but viewing from a list definitely beats searching for a room from newspapers or even walking around pasting enquiries on renting a room. Oh, some of the home owners do provide photographs of the house/room in their posts too! If you like to rent a particular room, simply click on 'book now' to book and liase with the relevant party.

On the other hand, if you have a room to rent out, like any other websites, register as a user and login with your credentials. Then, you would be able to post up a notice with descriptions about your room, location, conditions/house rules, photos of the room and the price. I believe this is a faster way to get someone to rent your room, isn't it?

Well, there might be other websites that gives the same idea as the one I have just introduced, such as www.easyroommate.com.sg and a forum based website on rooms for rent. However, based on my exploration and usage for these websites, I find that searching for rooms are much more easier as compared to searching a room from a list of threads in a forum. The navigation around the website is much more simpler and one would be able to search for his/her desired room fast!

Reviews of Websites

Hi friends! It has been quite a while since i last posted on this January!

I have been busy with Chinese new year and subsequently with a short holiday trip with my family. To add things worst, I was also busy with my work during March thus unable to post as often as I used to do previously.

In my future posts, I will be blogging and reviewing about some websites which i come along. Who knows someday you might need my reviews on certain website to further determine your choice!

Lastly, enjoy reading!
