Steamboat Sakura Shabu Shabu
Sunday, July 31, 2011
Been a long while since I ate steamboat with my boy. He is not a steamboat fan, so usually I eat steamboat with my friends during our gatherings.
As it was a very last minute decision to have steamboat as our dinner, we did a quick research on the internet and came to
this link. From the photos taken by the blogger, it was definitely awful and I lost my appetite even before considering whether to try it. :(
However, I was still craving for steamboat at night and we decided to go & have a look at the place and the food if possible. In any case, there's always a western restaurant, Cowboy Tavern beside the Sakura Shabu Shabu.
Destination: Blk 529, Ang Mo Kio Ave 10, besides Cowboy Tavern.
Price list: $14.90 (Adult, weekday without hot grills), $16.90 (Adult, weekday with hot grills), additional $2 for weekends.
When we reach there, we saw there were quite a number of tables set up and there were groups and groups of customers satisfying their steamboat crave. Food was not as bad as described in the blog and were very well organised in the fridges. Price was affordable at $18.90 nett, though not as affordable as Marina bay's $12 per pax lar~
Besides main dishes like meats and veggies, there were also ice-creams, small cakies, fruits in the fridge for customers at the end their meals. Oh, the tom yum soup was not spicy at all. Well, the only thing that is different from other steamboat place is that refilling of the soups is SELF SERVICE. If you wanna refill the soup base, help yourself from the dispensers...
Without further ado, I shall present a photo and you shall decide whether you find it awful which made you lost interest and appetite! (I didnt really took all the photos by the way)

My boy had been a good one today! Besides satisfying my steamboat craves, he also brings me for Qiu Lian Ban Mian at Hougang Mall during lunch time! I told him i wanna eat it there as it was nice!
Thanks for fulfilling my wishes, boy!! :) <3

Understand with your heart..
Tuesday, July 26, 2011
There are a lot of misunderstandings happening in my family.
Within a family, all members should trust each and everyone. Clarifications should be made and talk openly on unknown issues. No pin-pointing of people and unreliable conclusions should be made if any should be unsure of what is happening. This is 21st century. Humans should accept things with an open mind. Should you feel offended by anyone, make known to that one and understand what is the origins of it.
Do not conclude anything all by yourself and in turns offended your loved ones. What you think may not be true. Some words are just too harsh to ever used in your own conclusion. Understand and learn by your heart and not just your eyes, learn to believe and not doubt your loved ones.
In an event of misunderstanding, your loved ones may be offended and leads a bad day when you felt good on the other hand.

New Bag Organiser
Saturday, July 23, 2011
My hoot has arrived!
I've purchased a bag organiser from gmarket & it has arrived just before my "holiday" at local hotel stay! (Will update on my stay and the fireworks stuffs soon!)
The bag organiser is supposed to organised what i will usually bring out in my bags. I always had problem finding the little stuffs such as my phones, tissues, camera, wallet, pen, cards, comb in my bag. Instead of throwing them aimlessly into my bag, i decided to get an organiser to well separate them and it is more easier to find & neater too! Now my keys will never get the chance to scratch my cards or my phone since it has its own compartment.
That's the bag organiser i've bought:

Now after i have put my little things in:

So, what do you think? Do you faced the same problem as I have in finding the little things w/o an orgniser? Get them cheap from GMARKET.COM.SG to solve your headache today! :)

《武侠》 Gala Premiere Event
Tuesday, July 19, 2011
First hand updates!
I've just watched 《武侠》 in GV VivoCity. Witnessed Donnie Yen & director Peter Chan at the Event sharing their thoughts of the film before the movie starts! Well, i didn't really catch what he was sharing though. Heard that he will be heading to Taiwan tomorrow.
Next, I will share some movie spoilers. If you planned to watch and do not want to know the details, stop reading here.
The movie was great! I'm very impressed by Donnie's kung fu & his action scenes!! Great show! It was quite amusing at the starting part and is very gross during the fighting scenes. Donnie acted as a child of a baddie family clan. He used to kill people with his violence with his knowledge on 穴道. However, he decided to stop all killings and married his wife (acted by 汤唯) where he met in another town. Xu Bai Jiu (Takeshi aka 金城武) was not involved in the fightings since he is a policeman. Nothing much about his character just that he knows how to analyse human's body and the 穴道. My ratings: 4/5. Nothing is perfect. :) By the way, this is a NC16 rated movie due to violence and bloody scenes.
Took some photos even though I was standing far far away with tall tall peoples blocking my views...

Here is a short clip of Donnie Yen & Peter Chan:

Arnolds @ City Plaza
Sunday, July 17, 2011
Great! Finally get to eat Arnolds Chix again after quite awhile!
Some says that Arnolds have dropped their standards. Cabbed down to City Plaza to meet boyboy for Arnolds ytd after the netball competition for lunch and see how it was. It was 1pm and the queue was already very long. City Plaza was such an ulu and quiet place all around in the shopping centre, but it was usually crowded for Arnolds!
My bf and I queued for a while and got seated in. Ordered 2 persons meal which includes 5 pieces chickens, 2 drinks, 1 bowl of coleslaws, 2 buns and 1 bowl of fries. It costs us ard $23.
Well, the standards really dropped and it does not taste juicy and nice as before... :( However, u can still head down for a try. The shop is located at 2nd storey near watsons.
City Plaza sounded ulu and ppl usually frown upon hearing it. But to be frank, there are alot alot shops selling pretty sweet and cheap clothes for girls! There are simply too many shops (5 storeys!) to finish visiting each and everyone of them! The shopping centre is abit rundown since it has been built for many years ago. I would like to go there shop again if i am able to get friends to go with me. Any of my friends, if you are reading this, do ask me out for shopping. I will get you to shop at CP!
Oh! Btw, City Plaza is located near Paya Lebar Mrt 5 to 10 mins walk should reach.
