Been a long time ever since I watched a movie in the Preview Theatre located at Level 13 of Shaw House Office Building. Glad that Funkygrad had selected me as one of their Movie Tribe members to enjoy such privilege. Shall share my experience of having a movie in the Preview theatre and the ambience.

My first impression of the location when I reached level 13 was: What an ulu and quiet place with a security guard sit facing the entrance! Kinda scary if I were to go up alone. Was told to reached at 6:45pm and that no food and drinks (including popcorns from Shaw) were allowed in the theatre. As I was not aware of such rules earlier on, I did not have time for dinner before the movie and was feeling rather hungry throughout the show. Was kind of dissapointed with the rules and that we were not informed in the email.

Once I got into the theatre, I felt as if I was in my home theatre hall!! Seats were very big and comfortable like home sofas! The theatre was very clean and ambiance is good for having a nice movie with friends/family. However, some music (sounds like indian song) was heard during the movie and I could not really concentrate with the movie anymore. If I am not wrong, the door to the theatre was a metal door and I thought it should be sound proof. Perhaps it was not closed tightly enough to prevent noise. Air-con was abit too cold to be comfortable with throughout the movie as well.

Anyway, the movie, Beginners started at around 7pm (was not aware what time it actually starts beforehand) and the movie was kind of too quiet and I could not really fully enjoy the quality of the surround speakers well. Beside that, I was also feeling uneasy and restless during the movie as the storyline for that movie was rather boring and anti-climax, despite having the comfortable seats. The storyline was confusing too. It would be a better movie experience in the theatre together with the comfy seats only if the movie showing was more attention grabbing.

Overall experience:
- Nice ambiance and quiet theatre (would be even better if there is no indian music coming out from nowhere).
- Big comfortable seats as if I'm watching a nice movie at home with friends and family.
- Disappointed with not being able to have some snacks in the theatre especially for students who end their class late and too rush for dinner before movie at the given timing. Anyway, movie should go with snacks/popcorn for a relax movie experience.
- Unable to fully enjoy the surround speakers as the movie shown was too quiet.

However, once again, I would still like to thank Funkygrad for selecting me and giving me the privilege to watch the movie at the above located theatre, while sharing my personal experiences and point of views after having watch the movie. :)

Finally gotten my new phone after 2 months of selling away iPhone 4.

Not much good phones in the market now. After HTC Desire HD, the next good phone is SGS2. I first saw this phone in VivoCity Starhub on one of the weekends and my bf was telling me how nice and how good it is. At first I thought that I will still support HTC phones no matter what. Never thought I would get SGS2. Since there were many reviews saying that this phone is good, fast and battery wise is not bad, my bf decided to recontract one of my lines so that I can buy it at cheap price.

Due to National Day Promotion, Singtel is having $46 off for some of the high end phones. We made used of this special promotion and faster went down to Singtel Concentre to recontract the line. The new phone was purchased at $492 with a $50 voucher + $60 trade-in + National Day Promo $46 off on a iOne Super Value plan (the lowest plan that ST provides at $15/mth). Good deal right?? Especially that I have save myself $200 over from the money I made from selling iPhone 4!

I really like the phone so much due to its sleekness and weight. It is slim and light, with a super amoled LCD screen. Nice screen display in short. SGS2 is running on Android OS Gingerbread.

It was a rainy day!

Definitely a nice and comfy day to snuggle in bed and sleep all I want. But I must wake up at 8 plus and prepare to go Orchard Tangs for a MISSION!

Mission: Collect a FREE mini Clutch from Tocco at Orchard Tangs.



My sister bought Her World magazine yesterday she told me about this freebie which is supposed to cost $59. Since she was unable to make it down for the redemption, I decided to go down for a look and at the same time collect on behalf of her.

Upon reaching the venue at ard 11am(the stores opens at 9.30am), there were already many ppl queuing up. Initially I wanted to give up as I thought I wouldn't have a chance at all. There are a total of 1000 pieces of the Free clutch bag to be redeemed. There are 5 colours, but we cant choose the desired colour. Lucky I got number 592 and after 45 minutes of queuing, I managed to got my clutch... of my desired colour!!! Im just so lucky! :)







After accomplishing the mission, my mum and I start our Shopping Spree!!

We went to Lucky Plaza first cos we were both in need of toilets urgently. The stupid toilets in that rundown building need to charge me $0.20 to enter! So we were also very cheapo enough to not enter and tahan! :P

Went shopping around and mum bought her pair of sandals and some earrings. I didnt managed to got anything since nothing attracts my attention in Lucky Plaza. Next, we head down to Ion Orchard for our lunch at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe and another round of shopping.

I must say ION Orchard is very very very confusing and messy! I cannot find toilets and restaurants levels properly. However, I was surprised that we can actually walk our rest of the day in ION Orchard without complaining that there is nothing for us to shop. Well, maybe there are many sales going on so we dare to walk in to shop instead of window shopping~

1) Top from Zara @ $19.90 - Love it cos of it's silk material and nice cutting. Good for work, shopping.



2) Slipper from The Little Things She Needs @ $9.90 - nice colour, and feel soft. Good for school and play.



My mum got a new shelves from Daiso for the glasses and cups in the house. Family is always her first priority even when she's out. :)

Both of us reached home just in time for 7pm show at Channel 8, but we were dead tired after a whole day of shopping and walking....

Spoilt Heels!! :(

Suddenly 心血来潮 and wore my favourite cute heels to Plaza Sing for a movie date with my boy boy. Since it was a very long time ago since i last wore it, i decided to bring it out for a walk. However, it broke down during the evening. The sole was detached from the shoe and I had problem walking with dropping sole.

On the other shoe, the skin or the cloth of the shoe's design slowly peel off as well... I cant fix back the shoes anymore!!



Super upset with its bad condition. But one thing i felt lucky about is that I only spent $9.90 whn I bought this shoe at Mondo Sale. Well, you could say, "No wonder spoil till so jialat~" or "Mondo, 一分钱，一分货". But the design really attracts my likeness and attention alot mah~.

Anyway, now I dun buy shoes or heels from Mondo nowadays, and i discourage any of my friend to buy from there too. Regardless how cheap or how much discount was given, past experiences with them had taught me that their shoes really spoil easily. Either heels tip drop out, sole drop out or worn out easily.

I have been buying new heels/wedges/sandals from Mitju. Okay, theres one outlet at Ion Orchard & VivoCity. Do drop by and have a look if u need new footwears. :)

Mummy finally got the time to cook today!!

Woke up today to a room filled of food smells. My mum was whipping up some home cooked dishes today for our lunch and dinner! It was definitely tough on her. :( She got to prepare all the ingredients before hand before she really gets down on the cooking. She told me she never like cooking at all, but she always cooked last time because we were still too young to be fed on food outsides. So for convenience sake, she cooks.

Looking at how she prepares my favorite dish - Mixed Luncheon Meat & Potatoes in Tomato Sauce, I realized it was very tedious. She have to fry the luncheon meat and the potatoes separately from the tomato sauces so that the luncheon meats will be crunchy and nice to eat. Nevertheless, all are my favorites as long as they are cooked by my mum! :D

After lunch, I brewed my mum and myself a teapot of Pu Er tea. What a relaxing afternoon after a sumptuous meal......



But of cos, I was also VERY busy from morning till late evening cos i was working very hard too! :D
