Marina Bay Sands Hotel Stay
Monday, October 24, 2011
Just like what the title of this post stated, a stay in MBS!
It is a very rare chance that I get to stay in Marina Bay Sands Hotel ever since it opened in early Feb 2011. All thanks to my boyfriend and his mum who decided to buy the stay at complimentary room from one of the online peep from forum. They bought the complimentary stay of 3 days and 2 nights for $300 and the stay period was from 21 Oct 2011 to 23 Oct 2011.
Due to work and school, my boyfriend and I went over to MBS only in the late evening and stayed over for the next 2 days. The stay allowed us to visit the skypark and the observation deck free and it was an eye-opening for all of us since not everyone gets to go up as and when we want. Heard that now the skypark only opens to public at certain time and date of every month!
21.10.2011 (Friday)
My boyfriend's mum reached early with the friendly seller to checked in at MBS during the day, so she had already seen the room and even the skypark. The friendly guy who sold the complimentary room even brought my bf's mum to the skypark for a visit! My boyfriend and I reached MBS around 9.30pm but the parking in MBS was a headache for us. We couldn't find a proper parking space in the MBS hotel and thus could only park opposite at the MBS Shoppes and Convention Centre. We took almost 1 hr to search for the nearest carpark that linked to the hotel. After that, we headed to the hotel room to put down our stuffs and once again left the room as we want to watch the Water & laser show - Wonderfull, at the MBS Shoppes and Convention Centre. For the rest of the night, we checked out the room, the balcony, and unpacked our stuff and have a good night rest.
22.10.2011 (Saturday)
Woke up at around 10am. After bathe, we went for breakfast at Marina Bay Link Mall, which was a 1.2 km walking distance away from the MBS Shoppes Mall. Had breakfast at Swiss Bake and after that we went to the Skypark and the observation deck for some photo taking session and explorations. Took many photos using my camera and you will see it later in the video below. After that we went back to hotel for a short rest before we went for REAL STEEL at GV Marina Square.
When we came back to the hotel, we stayed in the room to watch tv and slept early due to early check out in the next day.
23.10.2011 (Sunday)
Check out day! Check out at 9.30am. While waiting for my bf to pick us from MBS, one of the service crew approached me and initiated to help us with the luggages and bags which we placed on the floor. He initiated to put our bags onto their luggage trolley and helped to push to the pick up point so he will be able to unload the bags for us into our vehicle. I find their service was good and was happy with it, even though they might just be doing part of their work and maybe they dun want us to leave things on their floor, spoiling their image.
The picture video below features the MBS room as well as the swimming pool and observation deck in the SkyPark. Spot them yourself, it is rather obvious!
These are some of my favourite panorama shots using my Samsung Galaxy S II. The photos are taken at the Skypark and the observaton deck.

Prosperous Kitchen Dinner Buffet
Tuesday, October 18, 2011
Nothing special for any celebration today. Just want to utilize the good deal which my boyfriend purchased the other day from deals webbie:
Prosperous Kitchen Dinner Buffet for 2 at $22 nett per pax!
Prosperous Kitchen offers 3 types of Dinner buffet. Since our deal consists of abalone, shark fin soup and crab, our deal will be the most expensive dinner buffet on their menu, $28.80++ per pax. Their chinese foods are very very very nice that I think they are even better then those coffee shops' Zi Char!! It's worth a try!
There are 2 outlets in Singapore islandwide: Sembawang Shopping Centre & West Coast Plaza. For convenience purpose and due to T&C stated on the purchased voucher, we went to the Sembawang outlet.
Shall not waste any more spaces here. Let's see what we have ordered for our dinner!!
Looks delicious and you are drooling over the pictures and foods? Head over to this link and make your reservation to eat there!
After a year of hard work, finally I'm going to submit my final year project report for my final year/sem in NTU!!
Wrote a report with a total of 50 pages for my project which lasted almost 1 year. Took me a few weeks to plan/write/complete my report and finally printed it at Out De Box, one of the print shop in Sunshine Plaza. There are other recommendations of print shops in Sunshine plaza but because I had no idea and experiences with their print quality and services, I decided to visit the print shop which I trusted ever since I printed my Poly's FYP report.
Well, I have to admit that I didn't really put much effort into writing my report as I was lost with what to put in it. After looking at my peers' report format, I was demoralized. Not only did they explained a lot of background theory before writing on their project report, they also added in many figures and of which, some were drawn by them to illustrate about the theory and steps.
That was the moment I realised I didn't do much planning on how should I write my report. Was kind of upset but some friends told me that since all of us are getting different marker, then it is alright. Other told me that it is good to keep it short, sweet and direct.
Thanks peers for cheering me up. :D

Featuring the old phones...
Saturday, October 01, 2011
My dad told us that he is going to sell off the old phones to my uncle for some cash. It is useless leaving them untouched in the drawers. I have used some of the phones and seeing them again definitely brought back all my memories. Some memories were so vivid that I could even remember the exact times and moment when I was using the phones. For example, I could remember myself using Nokia 6111 when I was working in SiS technologies and I remember myself using Nokia 6120 the first time in the train.
Here's featuring the whole range of phones that we once owned before.
